At the Institute for Medical Research of the University of Belgrade, a scientific seminar was successfully held on April 24, 2026. The lecture was given by PhD student Đorđe Zlatković from the Microbiology with Parasitology Group, who presented the topic: N-(9-acridinyl) derivatives of amino acids: synthesis and in vitro evaluation of antitoxoplasma activity. The lecture presented research results focused on the development and testing of new compounds with potential application in toxoplasmosis therapy, including their synthesis, biological evaluation, and analysis of structure-activity relationships. The seminar was very well attended and followed by an active discussion, indicating a significant interest in this field of research. Đorđe Zlatković is a PhD student at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, and a research associate at the Institute for Medical Research, and a recipient of multiple awards for scientific research work of young researchers. The research is being conducted within the ToxoReTREAT project, funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
